Take the  or the  train to 23 Street-Ely Avenue . (You may also take the  to 45 Road-Court House Square but you must have a MetroCard for the transfer .)
Transfer to the  train to the Nassau Street Station . (Please note: Although it appears on the subway map that you can pick up the G train at Queens Blvd. it is only during late nights and weekends, when Acme Smoked Fish is closed!)
FROM BROOKLYN : Take the train to Nassau Street Station.
Use the Norman Avenue exit (the back of the train coming from Manhattan and Queens; front of the train coming from Brooklyn).
When you exit the station, you will be at the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and Norman Avenue. Orient yourself on Norman Avenue to walk toward Lorimer St. (if you pass Leonard St , TURN AROUND, you are walking in the wrong direction).
Walking in the correct direction, you will pass Lorimer St. , Guernsy St. , Dobbin St. and Banker St. until you reach N 15th St . Make a right on N 15th St. , bearing to your right onto Gem Street .
