KOSHER PRODUCT INFORMATION

All Acme Smoked Fish and Blue Hill Bay Smoked Seafood products, with the exception of Smoked Sturgeon, are certified kosher by KOF-K.

KOF-K is an international organization that requires its certified producers to meet the highest standards of kosher food preparation. Only products and services meeting these stringent standards are permitted to display the KOF-K symbol.

As with all KOF-K certified food producers, every aspect of Acme’s smoked fish process has been carefully reviewed by a panel of kashrus experts. The ongoing kosher preparation of Acme and Blue Hill Bay products is supervised daily by a full-time mashgiach or supervising Rabbi, on premise. In addition, KOF-K makes available to Acme, consultants on-call who have detailed knowledge of speficic food preparation areas such as chemical, color and flavor formulation, fish processing and other critical issues. The kashrus policies of the KOF-K are governed by a committee of authorities in kosher law who review and make determinations regarding any questions of Halacha (Jewish Law) which may arise.
