Directions

Whip the cream cheese (for zhuzh, include lemon juice, half of the chopped shallot, half of the chopped chives, and the crème fraîche).

Spread some of whipped cream cheese mixture on top of each cucumber slice. Top each cucumber and cream cheese bite with a piece of smoked salmon. If zhuzhed, garnish with the dill, capers, fresh cracked black pepper, and the rest of the chopped chives and chopped shallot.

Leftovers can be refrigerated covered tightly in plastic or foil wrap for up to 2 days.
