SMOKED TROUT & ONION DIP WITH RYE CRACKERS

Description

Add our naturally smoked trout to your next onion dip recipe for a heartier spread that will impress and fill your guests! Once you add this fresh water fish to your appetizer repertoire, you’ll never look at plain onion dip the same!

Ingredients

8 ounces Sour Cream
2 teaspoons Minced onion ((dried))
1⁄2 teaspoon Onion powder
1⁄4 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 tablespoon Chives (finely chopped, reserve a few leaves to garnish)
5 ounces Smoked trout (reserve a few small pieces to garnish)
Rye crackers

Instructions

In a bowl, mix together sour cream, dried onion, onion and garlic powders, chives and almost all the trout. Salt to taste, and let sit in the refrigerator for an hour, or overnight.

When you’re ready to serve, let the dip come to room temperature, garnishing with the reserve smoked trout and chives.

Serve with rye crackers.
